The deck at the hostel was absolutely fantastic, providing a great spot to relax and soak up the sun. Another highlight was the clean and well-equipped kitchen, perfect for cooking your own meals. the hostel's location was ideal, only a short walk to the center of town and all the amenities it had to offer.

The staff at the hostel left much to be desired. They were often unfriendly and seemed disinterested in assisting guests.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mamallena. The location was absolutely beautiful, with stunning waterfront views. It was also conveniently situated within walking distance to the boat arrival point on the island. We loved spending time on the large, sunbathed deck, relaxing with our smoothies and soaking our feet in the warm water. The chilled vibe and good music added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. The bar was a great spot, and we especially appreciated the complimentary pancakes and coffee in the morning. The 8-bed dorm was spacious and had a clean, large bathroom. We also found the lady at the reception to be friendly and helpful. Despite a few minor drawbacks, overall I would highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

the atmosphere was perfect for backpackers, with a central location, clean facilities, and a complimentary breakfast. the bar and social area were enjoyable to hang out in, especially by the waterfront. I loved the chance to meet and socialize with other travelers without it feeling too crowded or overwhelming. It was a really nice experience overall.

The location was perfect, within walking distance of everything in the center. a great place to meet other travelers and enjoy my time in Bocas.

Mamallena hostel offers the backpacker vibes we were looking for. Centrally located, clean, and well-maintained. Breakfast included. Awesome dock and other chill areas. Nice couches in the "living room. " the main deck has a beautiful view. Close enough to walk to town and supermarkets nearby. There's hot water and A/C.

I had an absolutely awesome time at this hostel! The rooms were spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, and the showers and toilets were pristine. Unlike another nearby hostel, there were no bed bugs or loud music disturbing my sleep here. The music on the deck was super chill and enjoyable. The kitchen was nice and clean, and the prices during happy hour were mind-blowingly good - only $1.5 for beers and 2 cocktails for $6! Christian at the front desk was incredibly polite and knowledgeable, answering all my questions. The location was stunning, with easy walking distance from the boat and lots of sunshine on the large deck. The breakfast of pancakes and coffee was really nice, although you may need some patience to use the kitchen when other travelers are also making pancakes. The lounge and water deck areas were jaw-droppingly lovely, and the happy hour was a great bonus. I also appreciated the little pizza/fry restaurant on-site. The staff, for the most part, were good, although it was sometimes a bit hard to find them during check-in. if I ever return, I will definitely stay here again!

Nice bed and good air conditioning provided a comfortable stay. the deck outside on the water was a great spot to relax and enjoy the view. - the communal area was spacious and offered a lot of space for chilling out. - They had different activities every night to keep guests entertained.

The toilet in our room was broken and the shower didn't work properly. the staff attempted to fix it but only managed to provide a dribble of cold water.

The sun deck and bar had a 5-star resort feel, and it was easy to meet other travelers, making it a very social atmosphere. For the price we paid, we got great value with free pancakes for breakfast and a fully equipped kitchen to use. The location was perfect, right by the water with easy access to a watertaxi. The staff treated us well and the hostel was clean throughout.
